Validity period of the registration certificate, generally left blank because the validity of a registration card is unlimited

Field I:
Date of production of said registration document

Fields J:
J: Vehicle category at Community level
J.1: National type of vehicle (VP, CTTE, MTT2 etc.) is a classification used to determine the use of a vehicle.
J.2: Bodywork code at European level
J.3: National body code (sedan, convertible, etc.)

Field K: Community reception number is an alphanumeric sequence composed of four parts separated by asterisks. Having become mandatory in 1998, not all registration certificates have it, particularly if the vehicle has not been imported.

P fields:
P.1: Vehicle displacement expressed in liters for cars and in cm3 for motorcycles
P.2: Maximum net engine power, expressed in kW
P.3: Type of fuel or energy source (GO, ES, etc.)
P.6: Taxable power of the vehicle expressed in “tax horsepower”, not to be confused with “DIN horsepower”

Field Q: (only concerns motorcycles) Specific power expressed in kW / Kg

Fields S:
S.1: Number of seats in the vehicle
S.2: Number of standing places if applicable
U fields:
U.1: Noise level of the vehicle when stationary, expressed in dB
U.2: Engine rotation speed expressed in min-1

Fields V:
V.7: CO2 emission level expressed in g/km
V.9: Environmental class of the vehicle upon its Community reception

Field X: Date on which the technical inspection will end, subsequently replaced by stickers issued during each technical visit.
